One and a half good raptors seen in fields just south of Fowlmere. The first on the way to work: Hobby. The second (i.e. half) on the return journey: An almost (but not quite) certain Merlin chasing what looked to be a Skylark!
At my new place of work in Great Chesterford (third week) I saw and heard my first species!!! A Green Woodpecker. Still haven’t added anything to the office seen list though. But then again, there is a tiny window overlooking a carpark. I did also have nice views of a female Sparrowhawk during a lunchtime stroll nearby.
