No Birds

Winds changed direction slightly. Round to the South-west. Still not ideal and strong too. Slogged around fields for a few hours without seeing an awful lot. Highlights were a Moorhen(!) pair nesting on a pond on the large field adjoining Foxton and Thriplow, and a male Sparrowhawk with a brick-red breast seen at close range. Heavy rain came in at 3pm on the dot whilst the church bells were chiming, exactly as forecast, and I gave up for the day.
