Downed work tools immediately and dashed to Amwell once a White-spotted Bluethroat was reported. Very elusive as it was feeding deep in the reedbed, but eventually got three good views.
Also caught up with the Black-necked Grebe pair that have been around for a few days as well as the year’s first Common Sandpiper and Common Terns. Other birds included a couple of Buzzards, a Red Kite, and several Redshank.
