First ever inland record of an Isabelline Wheatear apparently and not too far away – between Ely and the Ouse Washes – so gave it a go. Present since Thursday, but not identified until Friday, and not twitchable until yesterday (but I had things on). Watched it for about an hour at fairly close range.
Then called in at Foxton Sewage Works. A single Grey Wagtail present. Think I’m going to check out this site more this winter.
