North-west Norfolk

A spur of the moment walk along the coast with Michelle. Didn’t leave home until after 10am and the traffic was awful so didn’t get to the coast until 12:30. Parked at Brancaster and got on the coastal hopper to Wells. After a quick bite to eat we walked back along the coastal path: Wells, Holkham, Burnham Overy Staithe, Burnham Norton, Burnham Deepdale, Brancaster Staithe, Brancaster. Not any real birding, though did have twenty minutes around the usual birdy patch at the end of Burnham Overy. Here I had 10+ Wheatears and 2 Winchats. After an excellent meal at the Hero in Burnham Ovary, we pressed on, seeing a Spoonbill flying over at dusk, and finishing in the dark just after 9pm.
